Shlok Recitation Competition

Sanskrit became the '  lingua franca ' for the students of classes 6th, 7th, 8th when they celebrated Sanskrit Divas on August 29 ,2019 with great gusto and fervor. A Shlok Recitation Competition was organised for them. The entire school reverberated with the flawless chanting of shlokas from the scriptures like  Bhagwad Gita, Ganesh Pancharatan to name only a few. The audience was left spellbound by the marvelous rendition of our students. Their performance was judged on the basis of presentation, confidence, fluency and language pronunciation.   The programme was presided over by Mr. Anil Arya,HOD Sanskrit and Ms.Renu Sharma,HOD Hindi.  Mr Arya not only judged the show but also addressed the students in chaste Sanskrit. The programme culminated amidst great applause and cheering. Hindi Slogan Writing-Freedom Fortnight Celebration

Slogans are phrases that effectively communicates the core ideology of a campaign to the masses. A campaign for any greater purpose is inevitably associated with sloganeering to arouse people for a revolution. Struggles for independence are campaigns arousing millions and millions of people with patriotic fervor to fight for freedom. It is inevitable for such campaigns to have effective sloganeering. ‘Inquilab Zindabad’, ‘Do or Die’ etc. are such slogans that represent our struggle for independence even today, becoming eternal in our remembrance of our struggle. As part of our FREEDOM FORTNIGHT celebrations, Hindi Slogan Writing activity was organized for classes VI - VIII on Tuesday 27,2019 to realize the deep patriotism and significance of such slogans in our freedom struggle. All the students participated enthusiastically and brought out the revolutionary inside through simple but revolutionary slogans that can ignite the minds of the masses.

Janmashtami Celebration - The Fun Clad Event

"Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness and joy is the company, is the power of the name of Krishna" RPS International School Sec-89 believes in inculcating Indian values in the students by celebrating diverse religious festivals.To mark the festivities, Students presented a Special Assembly on ‘Janmashtami’ on Friday August 23,2019. The Cultural Extravaganza enthralled the audience. Children came dressed up in colourful ethnic attire,lifted up the whole arena with their lovely giggles and brightened up the stage.  Students also took part in Matki Decoration activity in their classes.  Little hands and imagination minds came together in a creative burst of energy during the activity. The school principal,Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla, encouraged the children to learn the lessons of humility and modesty from Lord krishna’s life and implement the knowledge in everyday life.

Keeping this maxim deep in their hearts two young Rpsians -Abner Moses and Arnav Saxena from class IX participated in 'Young Challengers', an Inter School Presentation Competition organized by Euro International School Sec 84 on Sunday August 18, 2019. Our school delegates expressed their opinions on 'What strategies should be adopted by parents  to limit the use of smartphones by children' through PowerPoint Presentation.Our dynamic students displayed not just eloquence but also tremendous maturity in their address.They not only prove their mettle but also act as tough competitors to the other participants. 73rd Independence Day-Long Day Event

The national fervor permeated in the environs of RPS International School Sec-89 on 73rd Independence Day of India on Tuesday August 13, 2019. This national festival was celebrated with utmost joy and happiness and the Assembly Area was embellished with tri colors. It is a day to pay a mark of respect to our freedom fighters because of which we are breathing an air of freedom. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the School Principal, Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom.
