73rd Independence Day-Long Day Event
The national fervor permeated in the environs of RPS International School Sec-89 on 73rd Independence Day of India on Tuesday August 13, 2019. This national festival was celebrated with utmost joy and happiness and the Assembly Area was embellished with tri colors. It is a day to pay a mark of respect to our freedom fighters because of which we are breathing an air of freedom. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the School Principal, Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom. RPSians presented a melange of patriotic activities like play-Journey of freedom fighters, patriotic songs and Folklore which created an atmosphere of national pride. Committed to the task of nation building, both faculty and students pledged to serve their motherland through spreading education and serving the community. An assemblage of events enthralled the audience. The Principal highlighted the importance of this day and appreciated the students for being responsible citizens and preparing themselves to serve the nation as good leaders. She apprised all that we still need to keep fighting for freedom against corruption, reservation, women’s insecurity and bad, polluted air. We want all children of today to understand that the fight is still on and the spirit should never die out. The atmosphere across the school was electric with the patriotic reverence and the RPSians truly felt a wave of patriotism, coupled with hope and optimism for the future.
