Special Assembly (Theme: Haryana Day)

  Haryana Formation Day commemorates the formation of the state of Haryana. It is celebrated on November 1 every year. The state was previously part of Punjab till 1966.  Haryana Day was celebrated by class 9 and 10 students with traditional fervour and gaiety at RPS International School, sec-89 today. Dressed in their ethnic best, RPSians put up an entertaining show through various folk performances of Haryana. RPSians brought alive vivid aspects of rich cultural heritage of India. The assembly began with the prayer to almighty followed by an extremely informative speech by Nelisa of class IX Beta. She also spoke at length about the glory of Haryana- the abode of God and apprised the audience about the marked achievements of Haryana during the last 56 years. After that, a heart-warming song was sung by the choir group. A quiz based on Haryana day was arranged in which the students participated enthusiastically. National Unity Day

There is something unique in this soil, which despite many obstacles has always remained the abode of great souls’. RPS Family pays tribute to the Iron Man of India, Sardar V B Patel on the occasion of National Unity Day, his 147th birth anniversary, today. His extraordinary work in keeping India united can never be forgotten. The day also provides an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation towards upholding the unity, integrity, and security of our country. Diwali Celebration Activity (Middle Wing)

  Diwali marks the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. The Divine light of Diwali illuminates our life and brings joy, prosperity and happiness. Diwali is the time to celebrate and spread joy. The Middle wing of RPS-89 celebrated the Festival of Light by taking part in various activities. Students made colourful rangolis showing their creative skills. They also took part in Card making and Toran making activities. They came up with excellent presentations. Students also enthusiastically participated in the Fireless Sweet making activity. They produced tasty and innovative recipes. It was a day marked with excitement, enthusiasm, and happiness. Students participated in large numbers and showed great energy and creativity.

  The festival of joy, light and hope marks a new beginning in our lives. Diwali brings hope in our lives, enabling us to see the positive side of life, setting aside the negativity. Diwali symbolises positive and happy spirits. May the supreme light illuminate our minds, enlighten our hearts and strengthen the human bonds. To celebrate this beautiful festival of light, the Middle wing presented a wonderful Sanskrit assembly today .  The assembly began with a sloka followed by prayer. The melodious rendition of the sloka created a positive environment. The talented students of RPS 89 presented a skit on the theme of Diwali. It was entertaining, but at the same time was relevant and well executed. It was followed by a Nukkad natak where the enthusiastic students highlighted the plight of the young children employed in the Cracker industry. It was a thought-provoking presentation. Intra House Mehndi Art Competition(Middle Wing)

  An Intra House Mehndi art competition was organised for Classes VI-VIII to celebrate the festival of Karwa Chauth. Enthusiastic students participated in large numbers. Students showed their creativity and made wonderful designs with lots of intricacy. Students eagerly grabbed the golden opportunity to show their talent and were glad to draw the designs on their teachers’ hands. It was a pleasant surprise for the teachers too. Overall, it was a successful event. Special Assembly (INTERNATIONAL DAY OF GIRL CHILD) MIDDLE WING

Happy International Day of Girl Child!! On the special occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child, Class VI presented a wonderful assembly. It was a well-planned and thought-provoking assembly which emphasized the importance of the girl child. The assembly started with a prayer, creating a positive environment. It was followed by a beautiful thought which concluded with a pledge to protect and nurture the girl child. News headlines followed the pledge. One of our young learners presented a wonderful Hindi poem on the theme of girl child. It was truly beautiful and heart touching. Our talented students presented a song too on this theme.
