Japanese Professor visit to RPS International School

 The Bhagavat Gita and its message is not just for India but for Japan and the entire world. It teaches one to live and face life,” This insightful message was shared by Sato Hiroyuki, Professor at Tokyo’s Musashino University. Hiroyuki, who teaches Hindi and Indian culture in the university, has just finished translating the Bhagavat Gita in Japanese. After the Bhagavat Gita, Hiroyuki has plans to translate Meerabai and Hanuman Chalisa, comprising devotional hymns. Hiroyuki is also an avid follower of Bollywood movies. He has translated blockbusters such as Mother India, Sholay and Chak de India. He says that these films reflect Indian culture while passing on the all-important message of dealing with life. As India and Japan look to cement economic and political relations, the focus is on boosting people to people contact through soft power. RPS Sector-89, Gurugram was elated to have this eminent personality on their campus today as part of the People to People Connect Program. He interacted with the students at the school and stressed on the importance of Exchange of ideas and communication. He also talked about the close bond India and Japan share. On this occasion, Hiroyuki also unveiled his first edition of the Bhagavat Gita at our school. It was indeed a proud moment for RPS-89. This experience enriched the young minds of our scholars and was indeed a unique learning experience provided by the school as part of its holistic learning approach.
