Educational trip for Grade 8

Industrial visits and tours are an integral part of the overall development of innovative young minds

RPS International School Sec. 89 organized an educational trip for Grade 8 to the Ecovera E Waste Management Plant Manesar on February 26, 2024. During this visit, students gained insight into the internal working environment of the industrial plant and learned how an industry functions. They also acquired useful information related to the practical aspects of their educational course that cannot be visualized in theoretical classes.

The industrial visit is considered one of the most tactical methods of teaching and learning. It provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods, and employment practices involved in e-waste management. Additionally, it offers exposure from an academic perspective.

Students learned about the steps included in the process, such as how materials are transported by the collector to a processing facility. At the processing facility, the recyclables are sorted, cleaned of contaminants, and prepared for transport to a milling facility or directly to a manufacturing facility.
