Diya Decoration Activity was held on Tuesday ,October  15 2019 for  Grade VI to VIII. The main purpose of this activity was to explore the students imagination ,creativity and celebrate the Festival of Lights in its true spirit. Diyas symbolize the supremacy and consequence of brightness over darkness. Students have painted,decorated and made enticing diyas as a part of diwali celebration. They acquired knowledge on the importance of making diyas and lightening all over to celebrate the victory of Lord Rama. It was sheer  and a great experience for all students who were the reasons for making this activity a great success.

RPS International School Sec-89 hosted the Intra RPS Scrabble Competition in collaboration with Harper Collins Publications on Friday, October 11  2019. The tournament witnessed around 54 participants from 6 niche branches of RPSGOS vying for the top spot.The resource person, Mr.Ashish and his team apprised the participants of the essential features as well as the guidelines and the rules to be followed during the competition. The Final Round of the Competition was followed by the Prize Distribution and Closing Ceremony.  School Principal,Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla and  Administrator,Ms.Shiva Yadav graced the momentous occasion. They presented the trophies and awards to the Overall Champions of the Intra RPS Scrabble Competition. To maintain parity in the sport, the participants included students of only classes 6, 7 and 8, ensuring that the level of difficulty remained the same for all. ‘Let me live, Let me bloom, Let me shine like a beautiful moon Yeah, I am an endangered species in this earth because I am murdered before my birth.’ We at RPS89 Gurugram, feel the need to inculcate empathy in our students by discussing their roles and expectations as a responsible citizen. To sensitize them about the current state of Girl Child, ‘International Day of the Girl Child’ was observed at the school on Friday, October 11 2019. The students were shown a glimpse of the current state of girl child through a skit. They spread the word about basic rights of a girl child starting from the right to live. 'Save Girl Child' slogans are ubiquitous on posters and placards. Last but not least,dance touched and invoked the empathetic side of every child bringing in the hope of a bright and safe future for the girl child.

“Debate and divergence of views enrich our history and culture” The Intra RPS English Debate Competition was hosted by RPS International School,Sec-89 on Thursday October 3,2019 in the school premises. The motion of the house was ' Is it really worth to become cashless Economy?' and 'Shall Emancipation at the age of 18 be included in the Indian Legal System?'  The event was graced with the presence of Chairperson,  Dr.Pavitra Rao and Director of Principals,Vipin Yadav. This was a spectacular event with oratory at its best that saw the participation of nine schools in all. It was indeed a riveting debate with a crisscross of opinions and apt rebuttal and the speakers spoke with enthusiasm and gusto. The interjectors posed thought to provoke questions and it was proved that vocational and general education should complement each other. While RPS Dharuhera bagged the championship trophy, the second position went to RPS Rewari and third position to RPS Mahendergarh. Mohni

Creating a big buzz in the science circles RPSians put on a magnetic display of various innovative models. They showcased their talent and skills once again and bagged the coveted 2nd  position in Science Exihibition under an Intra RPS Competition held at RPS Public School, Hansi on Saturday Sept.28 2019. The name of the winners are as follows: Ashish Kumar, Ranjeet Gujjar, Sunny Kumar, Sanchit yadav from class XI. On return, the achievers were felicitated by the School Principal, Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla and School Administrator, Ms.Shiva Yadav for showcasing amazing performance and great spirit.Truly, what a unique way to show to the world that Science when combined with creativity, can ignite a revolution!
