The Christmas celebrations commence at RPS InternationalSchool Sec-89 with the mellifluous choristers ushering in the Christmas spirit with their soul-stirring rendition of popular carol recently. Christmas celebrated everywhere as a joyous affair, keeping the mood, the school was artistically adorned with Christmas tree, candy canes, stockings, and mistletoe. Little children dressed like Santa Claus spread radiance of Christmas.The surprise package was the entry of Christmas tree, Santa Claus and other magical characters which left the kids enthralled and hooting with delight. They performed beautifully adding to the festive atmosphere. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on their faces especially when Santa moved around distributing sweets in their classes.  The assembly was concluded with a note of positivity and cheerfulness of Christmas!  It was a fun filled day conveying the message of love,faith, happiness and good cheer.

A    picnic is more than eating a meal, it is a pleasurable state of mind – DeeDee Stovel  It was time for the students of Class XI to have a hiatus from their regular school routine. The much awaited excursion to Adventure Island organized for them on Sunday, December 15 2019. The adrenaline rush was quite visible on their happy faces as they took rides and let their foot loose on the dance floor. The sought after picnic revived a new spirit in them and rejuvenated them for the coming exams.

RPS89 Winners at NBRC RPS International School, Sec-89 were worthy winners(3rd position) of Quiz Competition, organized by the National Brain Research Center, Manesar on the occasion of their 16th foundation day i.e.Monday, December 16 2019. An endeavour to bring the neuroscience  experience to school campuses, the initiative seeks to tap the potential of budding students and help them 'discover the neuroscientist in themselves'. The competition, which witnessed participation from 8+ teams from Delhi-NCR, culminated with 2+ hours of an intense quizzing experience and explored scientific theory from a variety of perspectives. Student volunteers gave broad overviews of their respective labs with a view to instil scientific temper in the young children. Continuing with the Sporting Spirit, RPS89 organised Inter Class Volleyball Competition on Friday December 13, 2019 for grade XI. The enthusiasm of all the players was quite visible and contagious.  All were filled with the one thought: whatever it would be, we all will enjoy the competition to our fullest .Congratulating the team on their excellent victory, Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla, School Principal said that all facilities are provided for improving the caliber of students in sports & extracurricular activities. Everyone learnt one thing from the tournament: it is not victory or defeat, not the margin of winning, not the science of volleyball, but a totally different perspective. It taught us how to live with the spirit of ‘We are One’ and not to explode with excitement when winning and not be shaken by defeat. It was altogether a memorable event for all.

To incite curiosity and the love for reading in children, RPS89 conducted Storytelling competition for grade IX. This competition broadly aims at: i) promoting creativity among students, ii) promoting thinking skills iii) enhancing analysis and evaluation skills and iv) developing communication skills. Our young and dynamic participants made effective use of facial expressions, gestures and voice modulation to captivate the audiences’ attention and make the narration interesting. #classIXSTORYTELLERS

An Inter- House Maths Quiz was successfully conducted on December 13  2019 at RPS International School for grade IX. The competition was held between the houses, Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby and Topaz. At the end of every round there was a question for audience that kept the interest alive among them. There was a tough challenge given by the houses to one another. After the neck to neck competition Sapphire House(Neerav,Daksh,Bhavdeep) grabbed the first position. The program ended up with a motivational speech by the Principal, Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla. She inspired the students to participate in such competitions in future as well to keep their knowledge up-to-date. It  was an enriching, interesting and fun filled activity. The students not only rose to the challenges posed with dexterity but equally, they enjoyed doing so. Congratulations to the winning team!!

And Close the doors” Horn blows and engine roars Spinning wheels beginning to grip These are the sounds as we start our trip” School organized  a field trip to Lohagarh Farms on Saturday December 7,2019 as it is a place conceptualized and created on the ethnic theme. It is set in the Aravalis and has a rural flavor to it. Students of grade VI - IX became a witness to plethora of activities such as Pottery, Bullock Ride, Camel Ride, Tractor Ride, Team-Building Activities, Archery, Shooting, Tug of War,  and much more. They enjoyed the subtle savour of  the local cuisine and appreciated the diverse  skills used for creativity and aesthetics. They felt enriched as all the experiences added to their learning. All in all, the trip ended on a great note. The students returned with great vigour and enthusiasm and lots of memories worth cherishing.
