Kargil Vijay Diwas-20th Anniversary celebration

“Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it; it flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.” This quote truly epitomizes the gallantry and attitude of all the Indian soldiers who died fighting in the Kargil war. RPSians presented the Special Assembly on Kargil Vijay Diwas on Friday July 26,2019 which is commemorated in the proud memory of the brave slain heroes during India’s victory over Pakistan during Kargil War of 1999. Celebrated every year on July 26, the day is about remembering the brave soldiers who laid their lives on the line to protect the country’s pride against the enemy. Students presented a multi-hued show replete with patriotic zeal and emotional fervor. Through a small skit, the students delivered the message that our flag is more than just cloth and ink. It is a universally recognized symbol that stands for liberty and freedom. It is the history of our nation, and it’s marked by the blood of those who died defending it. The Assembly

Singing Competition

Music is the greatest communication in the world. Even if people don’t understand the language that you’re singing in, they still know good music when they hear it. To promote singing talent in the school, singing competition was organized for classes VI to VIII on Friday July 12 2019. The budding singers put up the amazing show with their melodious voice and mesmerized the audience present in the hall. The judges for the competition were Mr. Anil Arya, Ms. Deepali Chibber. The participants were judged on their melody, rhythm, synchronization and general impression. It was a tough contest and even the judges found it difficult to decide the winners.All the young maestros who took part in the competition made the competition a great success.  The School Principal, Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla congratulated the winners and praised the students for their wonderful performance. Futuristic Skills Workshop -Schooling with a Purpose

RPS89 subscribes to the tenet of schooling with a purpose. As testimony to this fact, students of classes VIII,IX & XI participated in workshop 'Futuristic Skills' on Tuesday,July 9 2019 designed to make their education more expansive, relevant and purposeful. Under the gifted guidance of Ms. Sanjana Seth, a valuable resource person & Managaing Director at Augment London,the learners learned  how to learn, how to think and how to persuade. They were  encouraged to develop creative and critical thinking skills which will broaden hungry minds and help them to think out of the box.  Rather than rote learning, the programme introduced them to big ideas, taught them to teach themselves, and gave them the tools to communicate their own thoughts in impressive and convincing ways.The workshop enlightened the students to a great extent by opening the hidden doors of learning.
