When health is absent, wisdom cannot reveal itself, art cannot manifest, strength cannot fight, wealth becomes useless & intelligence cannot be applied”. RPS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL,SEC 89 celebrated the   World Health Day on Friday,April 12 2019 to mark  the WHO’s 71st anniversary. World Health Day focuses on “Universal health coverage: everyone, everywhere” - ensuring that everyone, everywhere can access essential quality health services without facing financial hardship.  To  acquaint our children with not only the importance of staying mentally, physically, socially and spiritually healthy but also to tell them all about the World Health Organisation (WHO), a special assembly was conducted by the students of class VIIIA . Students presented information about health care and the importance of exercise was highlighted through a yoga session. The assembly ended on a positive note of self introspecting and strategizing to the needs of the society. Dr.Pavitra Rao,Chairpe

“School bells are ringing loud and clear; vacation’s over, school is here” – Winifred C.Marshal It is that time of year again where we wake up early, all happy and cheerful, anxious for the day to start —“The First Day of School!” Students were greeted warmly, meticulously guarded to their respective classes by teachers. The “Welcome Assembly” was held for students by the teachers. Children giggled around as a theatre faculty Mr.Sanjeev Abhilashi performed a hilarious skit. Through the skit, he conveyed a message to the children to eat healthy food as Junk foods have low or zero nutritional value, and do not help much in growth of mind and body. The assembly ended with an enjoyable dance where children danced together on the beats reminding all that School Is Fun. Students were engaged in various fun filled activities to wary off inhibitions about new beginnings. Teachers ensured comfort of students and engaged them in ice breaking activities hence, acquainting them to their new mates
