International Nurses Day

 “A lady with the lamp"

May 12th was chosen as the date for International Nurses Day as it marks the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale.

It is a day to honour the nurses’ selfless efforts and achievements. It serves as a reminder of the significant part nurses play in the healthcare sector and emphasises their importance alongside doctors. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of the significance of treating nurses with the same respect throughout the world and to inspire people to show their appreciation for these selfless and devoted workers.

A range of activities were planned for grade VI to  VIII to help students become more aware of this day. The students of grade VI made  “Thank You Card” and grade VIII made Bouquets for the nurses. Grade VII did elucidated role play to demonstrate their sacrifices and contributions.

In addition, the children visited Silver Steak Hospital with their mentors, Ms. Renu and Mr. Sunil, to offer their exquisite creations to the staff.
