Special Assembly- Haryana Day

One of the many festivals that keep the state of Haryana in a festive spirit almost all the time is the Haryana Day. This festival is celebrated to commemorate the day when the state of Haryana was carved out of Punjab in 1966. This year, 54th Haryana Day will be celebrated all over the state on 1st November,2019.
To inculcate the Cultural Values a special Assembly was conducted with traditional fervour at RPS International School Sec – 89 and the theme was ‘Haryana Day’.It commenced by invoking the blessings of Lord with a prayer by students.The participants brought alive vivid aspects of rich culture of Haryana.  Dressed in their ethnic best the girls put up an entertaining show through folk dance,'Googa Dhamoda' of Haryana. Later, a quiz on Haryana was also conducted by students of grade 6 & 7. Students engaged in the quiz with an enthusiasm. National and International affairs of the day were presented by grade 5 students. Students performed beautifully and boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on their faces. The assembly was concluded with a rendition of National Anthem.
